Fuss over my sister's wedding
For some reason, I find myself peculiarly happy. It must be the fact that I just went through days of hell, and in a week's time it'll all be over.
My sister Freeda is going to get married 20 days from now!
She asked me to be the host for her from-out-of-town guests, which means I'll be taking care of fetching people from the airport, making sure they have good hotel accommodations and the like. I'm also pretty excited for the singles' party (for the umarried ones) though I've never been to one and I'm not exactly sure how it'll turn out.
I can't wait for the coming week to end! The best de-stressant is shopping! And I'll be doing just that.
After all, I still have to buy an aquamarine dress for the wedding. (The motif is aquamarine.) Since I'm going to be a bridesmaid, I'm going to need a pretty nice dress. I'm certain to find one in Divisoria.
I'll be in Davao by the 22nd! I just can't wait to see the little bundle of joy, my niece, Kaisha.
I wonder how much my sister's going to pay me for getting married ahead of me. I'm going to have to remind my mom to remind her. There's a superstition that if one's younger sister gets married first, one's chances of getting married decreases. Haha! So unlucky me. But there is a way to break the curse (if you could call it that). She has to pay me a certain amount of money. It doesn't matter if it's 25 centavos, as long as it's money. Hmmm...
I just do hope that this is for real. It's no joke at all to be getting married at Freeda's age--18! There's really no telling. As far as I'm concerned, I already bought her 5 months to decide on whether or not to marry. The wedding date is 28. They say it's lucky to have one's wedding on a date that ends with an 8. I hope it is so.
Tonight I'll be at Mocha Blends at 9. Tonight is the moment of truth.
